These Terms & Conditions govern your use of this website and any purchase from Moonveil Metallurgy ("we," "us," "our"). By browsing the site, placing an order or submitting a payment, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Who We Are

2. Handmade Goods

Everything we sell is made by hand. Small variations in color, texture, weight, grain, finish and dimensions are normal and are part of the character of each piece. Photographs are for illustration and your piece may differ slightly. Natural materials such as wood and stone vary from one piece to the next.

3. Made to Order and Production Time

Most items are made after you order. Typical production time is 7 to 14 days before shipping, though busy periods, special materials and custom work can take longer. Production times are estimates and not guarantees. We will contact you if there is a significant delay.

4. Pricing and Payment

All prices are in US dollars. We may change prices at any time, but changes will not affect an order you have already paid for. Payment is processed securely by Stripe and/or Square. We do not receive or store your full card number. By paying, you confirm you are authorized to use the payment method. We may cancel and refund any order we reasonably suspect to be fraudulent or placed in error.

5. Custom Orders and Commissions

• A custom project is a piece or service made to your specifications, in the amount you enter and we agree to on the custom payment page.
• By paying for a custom project you confirm the description you gave is accurate and that the amount reflects what was agreed with us.
• We may contact you to confirm details, request reference images, or propose adjustments before work begins. If we cannot reasonably complete the project as described, we will offer a revised plan or a full refund of the unspent amount.
• Custom pieces are made specifically for you and are final sale once work has begun, except where the finished piece is materially different from what was agreed or arrives defective.
• We may display photographs of finished custom work in our portfolio unless you ask us not to in writing.

6. Shipping

We ship to the address you provide at checkout. Please check it carefully. We are not responsible for delays or loss caused by an incorrect address. Shipping charges, where they apply, are shown at checkout. Once an order is handed to the carrier, delivery time and risk of loss during transit are subject to the carrier. Customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes or fees on international orders.

7. Returns, Exchanges and Refunds

Standard catalog pieces: if you are not satisfied, contact us within 14 days of delivery to arrange a return. Items must be unworn, undamaged and in original condition. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect. Refunds are issued to the original payment method after we receive and inspect the return.

Damaged or incorrect items: contact us within 7 days of delivery with photographs and we will repair, replace or refund at our discretion.

Custom and personalized pieces (including engraved or specially sized items) are not eligible for return except as stated in Section 5.

Cancellations: you may cancel an order before work begins for a full refund. Once work has started, we may keep a reasonable portion to cover materials and labor already spent.

8. Care and Use

Jewelry and metalwork require care. Avoid soaking pieces in water, chemicals, perfume and cleaning products. Some metals, including sterling silver, copper and bronze, will naturally develop a patina over time. This is normal and is not a defect. Wood and mixed media pieces should be kept dry and out of extreme heat. Small parts can be a choking hazard, so keep pieces away from young children.

9. Metaphysical and Symbolic Meaning

Celestial and symbolic imagery is offered as art, inspiration and personal expression. Descriptions of meaning, intention or energy are for creative and personal enjoyment. We make no claim that any piece will produce a medical, legal, financial or supernatural result, and nothing on this site is a substitute for professional advice.

10. Intellectual Property

All designs, photographs, text, graphics and logos on this site belong to Moonveil Metallurgy or its licensors and are protected by law. You may not copy, reproduce or sell our designs or content without written permission. For custom work you provide the concept for, you confirm you have the right to request it and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.

11. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to gain unauthorized access, interfere with its operation, submit false information, or use automated means to scrape or overload it.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

Except as stated in these terms, the site and all products are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of the above may not apply to you.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Moonveil Metallurgy will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the site or products. Our total liability for any claim related to an order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Virginia, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts located in that jurisdiction, unless the law requires otherwise. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us first and give us a reasonable chance to resolve the issue informally.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted on this page, with its date, is the one that applies to your use of the site. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
